By the end of the presentation, participants should have a basic understanding of: the difference between “dizziness” and vertigo, functions of the vestibular system, signs and symptoms of vestibular dysfunction, and vestibular treatment principles. The lecture will also include a discussion of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), a very common vestibular condition.
Vicky Lerner, PT, MSPT is a physical therapist with 25 years of experience, primarily in a hospital-based outpatient setting. She specializes in neurological rehabilitation, with an emphasis on vestibular and concussion rehabilitation. She has achieved speciality certification in vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University and the American Physical Therapy Association.
