The Ghost Points are a set of acupuncture points developed by Sun Si Miao (581-682 CE) that can be used to treat mental, emotional and spiritual disturbances. Although the existence of this set of points is known to many acupuncturists, the Daoist clinical application and needling method has not been available to the general practitioner.
Presented through the framework of Daoism and Daoist medicine, participants will learn the origin and theory relating to “Gui” disorders, how to assess when using the ghost points is appropriate for a patient and the needling method for their clinical use. Participants will receive the complete transmission for applying this treatment, which will include associated talismans and incantations.
