Bloodletting and External Herbs for Hepatic Lesion

The subject of this case report is a 54-year-old male with right-sided rib pain of seven months duration. The patient presented with a hepatic lesion, diagnosed as either a liver cyst or hemangioma. This case employs bloodletting and external application of herbs to resolve the problem.

“Stop Itching Aromatic Wrap” for Treatment of Pediatric Papular Urticaria

Papular urticaria is a pediatric disease commonly seen in both spring and autumn, which presents with recurring outbreaks of papules, vesicles, and itching. The author used the processed Chinese herb formula: Zhi Yang Xiang Bao Fang "Stop Itching Aromatic Wrap", which was worn as treatment for 50 cases. Notable results were achieved and are presented as follows.

Urticaria

Urticaria is a commonly seen allergic skin disease where the skin and blood are reactive. It is commonly called ‘wind papule lump' (a literal translation from the Chinese). This condition is characterized by fresh red or pale whitish wheals which can hide and then reappear. It is also called ‘concealed rash'.
