Institutional Review Board National Scholarship Program

The Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine is pleased to announce a scholarship for licensed acupuncturists who are interested in reflective practice and analysis of their clinical outcomes using verifiable observation methods.  Applications are now being accepted for proposals of retrospective reviews.  Up to four (4) proposed projects will be invited to submit a full proposal for review by SIEAM’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).

SIEAM has made the decision to offer this scholarship as a way to support the development of and increase opportunities for practitioners in the East Asian medicine community with a specific interest in research. It is our belief that these activities should be more broadly distributed throughout the field and that greater access for individual practitioners will help to advance this type of inquiry.
